This is why you should not take any chances with them, as your future depends on them. A lot of times Class 12 students are so busy preparing for the board exams that they really don\u2019t give thought to attempting questions in board exams. It\u2019s only during the end week that they start practicing mock tests or sample papers, which does little to none. And finally, on the exam day, they make the most foolish mistakes while solving question papers. This is why we decided to prepare a subject-wise list of mistakes class 12 commerce students make in board exams whether it\u2019s business studies, accountancy, or economics.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">Mistakes in CBSE Class 12 Accountancy Exam<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><b><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Not Segregating Easy &amp; Difficult Questions<\/span>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Class 12 accountancy paper is generally lengthy and you can\u2019t afford to spend too much time on a single question. A lot of times students solve questions as they come and end up spending too much time on some questions and are unable to attempt a few questions. This is why you should always put a tick mark against questions whether they\u2019re short or lengthy and attempt easy questions first.\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Writing Too Much In 1 Mark Questions:<\/strong>\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A lot of times students end up writing too much in 1 mark questions. These questions are supposed to be answered in one short sentence and you should not spend more than one or two minutes on each question.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Showing The Workings For Each Question:<\/strong> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Workings are necessary for difficult and more complex questions because they carry marks for them. But they are not necessary for short and easy to answer questions.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Improper Format:<\/strong> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Formatting is a necessity for ledger and journal questions, meanwhile adequate narration is also mandatory for every journal entry. If you don\u2019t do the narration then you might end up losing 20 to 25% marks.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Common Mistakes In CBSE Class 12 Business Studies Exam\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Not Drawing Diagrams\/Flowcharts &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students should draw proper flowcharts and diagrams where they are necessary even when the question does not ask for it. You should also properly label them, draw them with a pencil so that you can correct them later.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Reframing The Definitions &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You should refrain from reframing definitions, they\u2019re supposed to be written as they\u2019re stated in NCERT books. However, you may still get the marks but there still will be deductions if you try to rephrase them.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Writing Long Paragraphs &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Until and unless it\u2019s not a one or two marks question, don\u2019t write in paragraphs. Each answer should be neatly written in pointers with a heading and an explanation. It not only makes your answers appear neater but also gives more clarity.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Single Word Answers &#8211; <\/b>A lot of times in the business studies board exam, students answer is \u201cYES\u201d or \u201cNO\u201d without backing them up with a proper explanation. In this case, you should at least back your answers with an explanation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Common Mistakes in CBSE Class 12 Economics Exam:\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Not Underlining &amp; Highlighting Important Details:\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Usually, students forget to highlight or underline important terms and phrases. Even though it may seem like an extra task it makes your answers appear more detailed and easy to read.\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Not Copying The Accurate Date:<\/strong>\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many times in economics numerical-based questions, students copy the wrong data from the question paper. They\u2019re either in a hurry or nervous, make sure to be relaxed while solving questions and cross-check all the details before writing the answers.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Not Showing The Working\/Calculations:<\/strong>\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Did you know? The majority of students forget to provide adequate working or calculations in their economics exam while solving numerical-based questions. This makes them lose marks and it appears like they have copied their answers from somewhere else.
