The National Testing Agency (NTA) which is the administering body is yet to release the notification on the entrance exam and open the application link for the same. It is expected that NTA is going to release the NEET information bulletin containing the detailed information regarding the test, syllabus, eligibility criteria for age, reservation, examination fee, State Code, etc soon at ntaneet.nic.in.<\/p>\n<p>The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test is conducted for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, and BHMS courses as per the relevant norms, guidelines, and regulations notified by the concerned Regulatory Bodies. The Result of NEET is used for admission into undergraduate medical programs at the participating medical colleges which also includes AIIMS and JIPMER.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the last year\u2019s criteria to be eligible for NEET, students must have passed Class 12 or should be appearing for the Class 12 examination in the year 2021. The applicant must have studied English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Biotechnology as main subjects in Class 12. Last Year, all the candidates between 17 and 25 years of age at the time of admission to the first year UG medical courses were eligible to apply. However, for all the candidates belonging to the reserved category, a relaxation of five years was allowed. In order to appear for NEET in 2021, aspirants belonging to the General category must have scored 50 percent in Class 12 exams. Till last year, there was no restriction on the number of NEET UG attempts. Almost about 80 percent of aspirants appeared for the entrance exam. Last year, NTA had to conduct the exam twice, as there were some students who could not appear for the exam in September due to reasons related to Covid. The consolidated result for the exam was declared on October 16, 2020.<\/p>\n<h3>NEET 2020: Tie-Breaking Procedure<\/h3>\n<p>The NEET-UG 2020 paper comprised &#8212; Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology). Each subject had 45 multiple choice questions of 4 marks each and a negative mark of one for wrong answers marked.
