Students need to realize, JEE Advanced is not difficult but a different exam. It tests an in-depth understanding of the concepts and their application. Students need not worry if their conceptual understanding is great. Secondly, students need to understand that JEE Advanced is a six-hour duration exam that tests their nerves, patience and temperament. Hence, students should prepare in the right way and the right direction with an honest approach.<\/p>\n
This is not the time to prepare a new topic or learn a new concept. In the last few days before the exam, students should focus only on revising what they already know.<\/p>\n
As we all know, JEE Main 2020 was considerably based on the NCERT syllabus. Students should, thus, properly revise the NCERT textbooks. They should go through their study notes as well as the questions in the NCERT textbooks.<\/p>\n
During this crucial time, students should devote their time to solving mock papers and full-length test papers so that they are well-versed with the exam pattern. Attempting these tests will not only help them improve their speed and accuracy but also revise the whole syllabus.<\/p>\n
JEE Advanced is a six-hour duration exam comprising of Paper 1 & 2 and students often complain of feeling tired, losing their stamina, etc. for the second paper. Hence, students need to replicate a real exam scenario before the actual exam day. They should practice full-length tests as per the actual exam timings, i.e. 9 am – 12 pm and 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm to allow their biological clock to get accustomed to that of the exam. Additionally, students should wear a face mask and gloves to rehearse well in advance.<\/p>\n
Students should test their stamina, mental, physical and emotional preparedness for the exam by solving at least two-three tests of six-hour duration in a day. Whether or not they succeed at it, they\u2019ll at least be able to enhance their stamina and ability to attempt the exam. Additionally, they won\u2019t feel scared to write a six-hour exam and become more confident. They\u2019ll be able to overcome the exhaustion of moving from Paper 1 to Paper 2. Moreover, they\u2019ll also learn how not to be disappointed if Paper 1 in JEE Advanced 2020 does not go as per their expectations and instead of feeling demotivated, they\u2019ll give their best shot in Paper 2.<\/p>\n
JEE Advanced is very well known for introducing new patterns, new types of questions, etc. For instance, a question may ask students to select two correct options. Students should, thus, read the questions very carefully by paying attention to the keywords. They should not rush and carefully analyse all the options before selecting the answer. Students can expect such surprises in JEE Advanced 2020 and should be ready to face them.<\/p>\n
As per the previous trends, students, who successfully attempted 45-55% of the question paper, not only qualified for the IITs but also got into their preferred college and course. With proper planning and right strategy, students can ensure their seat in their desired college and course. All they have to do is attempt 50-55% of the JEE Advanced 2020 question paper correctly without any errors.<\/p>\n
Starting the exam with the strongest subject helps boost confidence. Additionally, students should browse through the questions and first attempt those which they are very confident of and can solve in 10-15 minutes.<\/p>\n
Often in a rush to complete the exam in time, students end up committing silly mistakes. Students must ensure that they read the questions as well as all the options very carefully. And only after analyzing the options, they should select the answer.<\/p>\n
Sometimes students get scared and skip the lengthy looking questions. Based on our experience, questions that seem lengthy are much easier to solve. Due to lengthy statements, students often incorrectly comprehend the meaning behind the question. The thumb rule to remember is, if a question is lengthy, the time required to solve it will be a lot less.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, it is important for students to stay healthy and take utmost care of themselves especially in the times of COVID-19 pandemic. Students should stay at home in order to reduce unnecessary exposure. Additionally, they should stay positive and have faith in their abilities.<\/p>\n
