<\/a>The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 has been further postponed till September due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation. Instead of panicking and worrying too much, NEET aspirants should consider it as a blessing in disguise and invest the extra time in strengthening their preparation.<\/p>\n

In our efforts to continue supporting and motivating the NEET aspirants, Aakash conducted the NEET Live Webinar with Swastik Bhatia, NEET 2019 Topper (AIR-4) and Aryan Raj Singh, NEET 2017 Topper (AIR-9). During this Webinar, our toppers shared some very interesting and important tips that helped them to succeed in their goal. Additionally, they also responded to various queries raised by the NEET aspirants during the Live Webinar.

    Keep Preparing<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In these unprecedented times, everything is uncertain. Instead of making predictions for the future and pondering over the changing NEET exam date, our toppers believe that you should utilize this time effectively and hone your preparation. Take every day as an opportunity to grow and make improvements.<\/p>\n

      Set Daily Targets<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      It is important to plan your preparation. Setting daily targets can speed up your preparation and help you study in a more organized way. Additionally, with NEET postponed to September, you should devise a daily strategy. Make a plan for every day to ensure efficient utilization of time.<\/p>\n

        Practice Makes Preparation Perfect<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Practice as many MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) as possible. Additionally, attempt timed tests that will not only help improve your speed and accuracy but also help identify your weak areas. Work on strengthening the topics you are weak in and boost your overall preparation and confidence for the exam.<\/p>\n

          Avoid Negative Marking<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Negative marking plays a crucial role in the NEET exam. A single mark lost due to negative marking can make or break your dream to study in the college of your choice. It is, thus, important for you to avoid negative marking. Read the question paper carefully and underline the keywords such as \u2018Incorrect\u2019, \u2018Correct\u2019, \u2018Not\u2019, Units of numerical values, etc. in the question to avoid silly mistakes.<\/p>\n

            Preparing Organic Chemistry<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            To prepare organic chemistry, it is extremely important to focus on the syllabus of Class XI.\u00a0 Master your concepts and fundamentals of Class XI first. Our toppers advise on strong understanding of GOC & Hydrocarbon chapters. For Class XII, divide Organic Chemistry into major reactions (Name Reactions) and minor reactions (Other Reactions).\u00a0 Conceptualize and learn both the parts. A complete practice of both can help you ace Organic Chemistry.<\/p>\n

              Study Hours<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              Do not define the number of study hours. Learn for as long as you can, take a break and get back to learning. Every individual\u2019s learning capability and concentration level differs from others. Hence, it is important to keep learning till your mind is focused and is able to grasp things effectively. In addition, while learning always focus on conceptual understanding and avoid rote-learning.<\/p>\n

                Stay Motivated<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                It is important for you to understand that not every day is going to be a productive day. It is okay to not perform on certain days. Your performance graph is bound to go up and down as there will be good as well as bad performances. All you need to do is remain focused and consistently work hard. Additionally, developing a hobby can help you stay motivated. It\u2019s also okay to scroll through your social media posts or play your favorite game on your Play Station as long as it is done in a controlled way. Further, even when nobody is pushing you, keep working hard. It is your self-discipline that can keep you motivated in the longer run.<\/p>\n

                  Focus on the NCERT<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                  A thorough reading of the NCERT textbooks is a must. It is a bible for both Boards as well as NEET Preparation. It is highly recommended to read the NCERT textbook line by line for at least 4-5 times as 90% questions are based on it. Every time you read it, you\u2019ll discover new and important information. Also, pay attention to diagrams & their descriptions, Chapter Intro etc. as questions may be tested from these parts.<\/p>\n

                    All India Aakash Test Series (AIATS)<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                    AIATS is an amazing tool to evaluate your preparation at All India Level. It helps you to identify your strengths and weaknesses. You can analyze where and why you lost marks. AIATS allows you to learn from your mistakes so that you don\u2019t repeat them. Additionally, your consistent good performance in AIATS helps you score well in NEET.<\/p>\n

                      Test Taking Strategy<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                      Our toppers believe that every individual should devise his\/her own personal strategy and not be influenced by others. While attempting internal tests, they should experiment and try different methods to understand which strategy works best for them. Once they have figured out the strategy, they should stick to the same and not experiment anything new especially on the NEET exam day.<\/p>\n

                        CBSE vs other Boards<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                        It cannot be denied that CBSE Board students do have an edge over other Board students as the NEET examination is based on the CBSE syllabus. However, if you are passionate about your goal and are willing to go the extra mile, irrespective of which Board you belong to, you can crack NEET with an amazing rank. All you need to do is stay focused and work a little more hard. A thorough knowledge of NCERT can help you achieve your desired score.<\/p>\n

                          Self-study<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                          Self-study is indispensable to success. Whatever is taught in the class, make it a point to go through the same at home. Make a schedule that includes time for self-study. Sometimes, students struggle between school and coaching classes and complaint of not having enough time for self-study. Always remember that when you are in school or coaching classes, you are also studying there. All you need to do is invest time in revising what was taught.<\/p>\n

                            Exam Day Preparation<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                            It is important to stay calm on the day of the exam. A sound sleep of 8 hours before the exam day is a must. It is better to stop revising or practicing at least 2 days before the exam day to give your brain a break. This will help you relax and you\u2019ll feel energetic on the NEET exam day. Additionally, pray to God for his blessings as prayers play an important role in our life.<\/p>\n
