\nThe countdown to one of the coveted entrance exams has already begun. The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2019 will be held in India and abroad, on May 27, 2019 (Monday), in the following two shifts: Paper 1 (09:00 to 12:00 IST) and Paper 2 (14:00 to 17:00 IST).<\/p>\n

The entire JEE (Advanced) 2019 Examination will be conducted in a fully Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.<\/p>\n

The JEE (Advanced) 2019 examination will be conducted by the seven Zonal Coordinating (ZC) IITs under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) 2019. The performance of a candidate in this examination will form the basis for admission to the Bachelor\u2019s, Integrated Master\u2019s and Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the IITs. The decisions of the JAB 2019 will be final in all matters related to JEE (Advanced) 2019 and admission to IITs.<\/p>\n

With barely a few weeks to go, students need to gear up and make the most of every single minute they have. Here are some tips that can help aspirants to master their preparation for JEE
\n(Advanced) 2019.<\/p>\n

1) Follow a Study Schedule<\/span><\/h3>\n

With hardly a few weeks left, it is imperative for students to prepare in an organized way. A study schedule ensures a planned preparation. It helps students to strategically divide their time so that they are able to devote enough time to the weak areas. In addition, students should infuse their study schedule with regular breaks. A five-min break after an hour of study can help refresh their mind and result in productive learning.<\/p>\n

2) Focused Learning<\/span><\/h3>\n

The time before the JEE (Advanced) Exam is crucial and calls for focused and disciplined learning. Students should devote their time wholeheartedly to the preparation of the exam. They should indulge in focused preparation and disconnect from social media.<\/p>\n

3) Practice Well<\/span><\/h3>\n

With JEE (Advanced) fast approaching, it is essential for students to solve full-length mock tests and preferably in a proctored environment. They should practice as many mock tests, sample papers and previous year papers as possible. This will not only strengthen students\u2019 preparation method but also build up their confidence level. Moreover, solving mock tests helps students to analyze and identify the errors committed by them and work on it. Mock tests also help students to evaluate the time spent on each section and structure it accordingly.<\/p>\n

4) Refer to Video Lectures<\/span><\/p>\n

In the techno-savvy world we live in, access to the internet is easy. Students can use video lectures to clarify their doubts and learn complex concepts. Moreover, the human brain tends to process visuals faster than the text. Students can use these lectures to revise and visualize important topics.<\/p>\n

5) Manage your time well<\/span><\/h3>\n

When it comes to competitive exams, time management plays a critical role. Students need to utilize each and every minute wisely so that they are able to attempt all the questions within the stipulated time. For that, they need to work really hard on their speed. They should solve as many mock tests and previous year papers as possible on the JEE (Advanced) Exam pattern. Apart from that, they can set a timer while attempting questions which can help them to assess how much time is taken to solve a question. This will help them devise strategies to improve their speed and accuracy.<\/p>\n

6) Revise Strategically<\/span><\/h3>\n

Revision plays the most crucial role. It helps you to remember facts, figures, topics, methodologies and revive all the concepts in your mind. Not just that, it also increases your confidence, reduces anxiety, and prepares you well for the impending exam.\u00a0 Students should chalk out a framework for the objective distribution of syllabus and the questions asked, by analyzing the previous year papers. 7) Reach out to teachers<\/span><\/h3>\n

If you still have doubts or if there is any concept that is still not clear to you, then reach out to your teachers. Don\u2019t be shy of asking questions and clarifying your doubts as it is an important part of your preparation. Whenever you get stuck or have questions, just pen them down and approach your teachers immediately. Their guidance and tips can help you crack the tough nut with ease.<\/p>\n

8) Look After Yourself<\/span><\/h3>\n

Students should make sure that they are getting enough sleep and rest. A good sleep not only stimulates the memory but also increases the attention span. Besides that, they should eat nutritious and healthy food and avoid junk food as the latter can adversely impact their health. They should include more green vegetables and fresh fruits in their diet. Apart from that, they should keep anxious thoughts at bay and not let them interfere with their learning. With that, they should spend some quality time on recreational activities like stretching, yoga, meditation, or take a short walk to help calm the mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
