Why Should Aspirin Not Taken in Empty Stomach?

Aspirin is a 2-acetoxy benzoic acid. It is an anhydride derivative of salicylic acid.

It prevents the development of compounds named prostaglandins, which stimulate tissue inflammation and cause pain.

These medicines help reduce skeletal pain, including arthritis-related skeletal pain.

When aspirin is taken on an empty stomach, it can cause stomach irritation, followed by a stomach ache.

This occurs as a result of the stomach's low acidity, which is maintained by the consumption of food to dissolve aspirin.
