Why International Dance Day Is Celebrated on  April 29

BY Team Aakash Byjus

The Dance Committee of ITI started celebrating International Dance Day on April 29th every year.

In 1982 this tradition started to celebrate the birthday of Jean-Georges Noverre, the founder of modern ballet.

International Dance Day is to celebrate the universality of the dance and its various forms.

It is also celebrated to cross all cultural, political, language and ethnic barriers.

And, to globally bring people together and make them enjoy the dance.

On this day, a message from a popular dancer or choreographer will be spread across the globe.

The motivational message will be translated into different languages and circulated for the local people to understand.

Every year, the International Theatre Institute will invite its members, dancers, dance students, choreographers, and dance enthusiasts for their Celebration.

Indeed, it's an honour and joyful event for all dance lovers to be a part of this worldwide dance celebration.
