If Class Mark Is 25 and Class Width Is 10, Then Find the Class

Let us find the lower limit and upper limit of the class using the given data.

Class Width = 10 Class Mark = 25

Given,

Since the class width is 10, the difference between upper-class limit U and lower-class limit L  will be 10.

U - L = 10 or  U = L + 10

We know that the class mark is the average of the lower-class limit and upper-class limit.

Class Mark

U + L

25

L + 10 +L

Solve for L, the lower-class limit.

50 = 2L + 10

50 - 10

=  L

L = 20

So, using the value of L, find the value of U as U − L = 10.

=> U = 10 + L = 10 + 20 => U = 30

Since the lower-class limit is 20 and the upper limit of the class is 30, the class = 20 − 30.
