Real-Life Examples
The rate at which the world’s population is increasing or determining the weather conditions.
For any two endpoints, (x1, y1) and (x2, y2), the extrapolation (x, y) can be found by the formula:
For example:
If the endpoints are (2, 6) and (4, 10), we need to find the value of y when x is 6.
Use the extrapolation formula and substitute the above value we get the answer as y = 14.
