Control Charts for Variables

Based on the statistics of the subgroup summary plotted on the chart, the control charts of variables can be categorized into:

Levey-Jennings charts

Based on a long-term sigma with control limits, Levey-Jennings charts represent the mean process.

Control Charts for Attributes

These charts are used to visualize data that is essentially continuous and is based on the idea of continuous data.

Pre-summarize charts

Depending on the sample size, pre-summarize charts convert the process columns into standard deviations of sample means.
