Tips and Tricks to Use Antilog Table Like an Expert | CBSE 12th Exam

The Antilog of a number is the inverse technique to find the logarithm of the same number.

"Let's" assume, if 'y' is the logarithm of a number 'x' with base 'b', then we can say 'x' is the antilog of 'y' to the base 'b'.

Both logarithm and antilog have their base as 2.7183.

If antilogarithm and logarithm have their base 10, to convert into both natural logarithm and antilog, multiply with 2.303.

Before finding antilog of a number, we should know about the parts like the characteristic and mantissa part.

Any number greater than one has a positive logarithm, and the number of digits on the left side of the decimal point is said to be positive.

Characteristic Part

The mantissa component is the decimal part of the logarithm number for a particular number, and it should always be a positive value.

Mantissa Part

Convert the negative value of the mantissa portion to a positive value.
