SOH CAH TOA: A Math Mnemonic to Remember Trigonometric Ratios

The sine, cosine, and tangent ratios in a right triangle are remembered by expressing them as strings of letters, SOH-CAH-TOA in English.

SOH means sine-opposite-hypotenuse i.e., for an angle, in a right triangle.

CAH means cos-adjacent-hypotenuse i.e., for an angle, in a right triangle.

TOA means tan-opposite-adjacent i.e., for an angle, in a right triangle.
