Integers

The set of positive and negative numbers, including zero, is called an integer.

The integers are denoted by the  letter ‘z’.

Rule 1

Example

The product of one positive integer and one negative integer is a negative integer.

Rule 2

Example

The product of 2 positive integers is a positive integer.

Rule 3

Example

The product of 2 Negative integers is a positive integer.

Rule 4

Example

The quotient of a positive and a negative integer is negative.

Rule 5

Example

The sum of 2 negative integers is always a  negative integer.

Rule 6

The sum of an integer and its inverse equals ‘0’.
