Polynomial Remainder Theorem:

The polynomial remainder theorem is a polynomial division approach to the Euclidean theorem.

 Euclidean Theorem

In this polynomial theorem, we divide a polynomial P(x) by a factor ( x – a), which may or may not be a polynomial element.

A smaller polynomial and a remainder can be found.

– Then the remainder     that has been obtained   is a value of P(x) at    x = a, specifically P(a). – So basically, x - a is the   divisor of P(x) if and   only if P(a) = 0.
