Cuboid

A cuboid is a  3-dimensional solid figure with six rectangular faces, eight vertices and 12 edges.

A cuboid has three dimensions such as length, width and height.

Volume

Volume is defined as the amount of space occupied by an object.

Volume of Cuboid

The volume of a cuboid is given by the product of its dimensions, i.e., length, width and height. The unit of volume of cuboids is cubic units

The volume of a cuboid is equal to the product of its base area and height.

Volume = base area x height

The base of the cuboid is a rectangle. So, the base area of a cuboid’ is equal to the product of its length and breadth.

Volume of a Cuboid Formula

The volume of a cuboid = length × breadth × height    [cubic units]

Example

Find the height of a cuboid whose volume is 275 centimeter cube and base area is 25 centimeter square?
