How to Use Geometric Progression Formula to Solve Maths Questions?

It is a type of sequence where each succeeding term is obtained by multiplying each preceding term by a fixed number. This type of sequence is called a common ratio.

The general form of Geometric Progression.

The geometric progression of 2nd term,3rd term and so on nth term.

Sum of n terms of Geometric progression

If 3 quantities are in GP, then the middle number is the geometric mean of the other two terms.

If x, y and z are three quantities in GP, then y is the geometric mean of x and z.

Example

If 4,8,16,…., is the GP, then find its 10th term.
