How to Find the Angle of Elevation? Learn With Maths Solved Example

The angle of elevation is the angle between the horizontal line and the line of sight which is above the horizontal line.

Example:  

 You're standing on a building's terrace, gazing skyward at the sky, the sun or the moon.

The angle of elevation is the angle produced between your height from the ground level and the line of sight formed.

Angle of Elevation Formula:

Trigonometric ratios are used to find the angle of elevation.

Example:

The sine formula can be used to find the angle of elevation when the height of the object from the horizontal line and the length of the line of sight are known.
