Do You Know How Many Triangles Are in a Heptagon? Here you go
The heptagon is a seven sided polygon. A closed figure with 7 vertices. The heptagon is also sometimes called the septagon
All the sides of the heptagon meet at each end to form a shape.
– Number of sides of heptagon = 7

Heptagon shape
Depending on the angles and diagonals, there are different types of a heptagon
Regular and Irregular Heptagon
Convex and Concave Heptagon
If the heptagon is regular, then all angles and sides are equal.
If the heptagon does not have the same proportion of side and angle, it is known as an irregular heptagon.
Heptagon Area
The area of a regular heptagon with side length 'a' can be calculated using the formula
To find the number of triangles whose sides are formed by diagonal sides in a common heptagon, we use vertices.
Category 1
– Randomly select three of the 7 vertices to form a triangle
– The total number of triangles formed in this category is 335.
Category 2
– Randomly select any two vertices to form a triangle
– Then the total number of triangles formed in this phase is 140.
Category 3
– select only one triangle to consider only one vertex in the heptagon
– Therefore the total number of triangles formed is 105
Category 4
– Select triangles so that the vertices of the triangle do not conform to heptagon shapes.
– A total of 287 triangles formed in this category
