A linear algebraic equation is in the form ax+by=c, Where a, b, c are the given real numbers, and x and y are two unknown variables.

A linear differential equation is in the form of :

dy/dx is the derivative of y with respect to x.

We can write a linear differential equation in another way.

Therefore a linear differential equation can be in the  above-stated form.

Note: P and Q can also be constants.
