Rational Numbers

Rational Numbers Definition: A number that can be expressed as "p/q" form, where p and q are integers and q≠0 is a rational number

The set of Rational numbers is represented by the letter "Q."

A rational number can be either negative, zero, or positive.

Positive Rational Numbers

If both the numerator and denominator of a rational number lie to the right or left of zero on the number line, the number is said to be positive.

Negative Rational Numbers

If the numerator and denominator of a rational number lie on the opposite sides of zero on a number line, the number is said to be negative.
