Angle between a Line and a Plane | NCERT concept note for JEE

BY Team Aakash Byju's

When a line is inclined on a plane and a normal is drawn to the plane from a point where the line touches it, an angle is generated between the line and the plane.

- When a straight line and a plane exist together, then three possibilities can occur. - In each of the three scenarios, the angle created by the plane and a straight line will be different.

The angle created between the line and the plane will be '0' degrees if the straight line is on the plane or parallel to it.

The angle created by a straight line and its orthogonal projection on a plane is called 'the angle between a straight line and a plane.'

When a line (r) and a plane (π) are perpendicular, the line's direction vector and the plane's normal vector have the same direction.
