Perimeter Of Triangle:  - The complete distance around a shape is referred to as its perimeter. - A triangle's perimeter is equal to the sum of its three sides.

Types of triangles: - Equilateral triangle. - Isosceles triangle. - Scalene triangle.

In an Equilateral triangle all three sides and three angles are Equal and Each angle will be 60 degrees.

Equilateral Triangle :

Example:

Find the perimeter of an equilateral triangle with side 8 cm. sol: Given, side of an equilateral triangle = 8 cm.

we know that,  in an equilateral triangle all three sides are equal.  so perimeter = sum of all sides = 3 x side = 3 x 8 cm = 24 cm.

In an isosceles triangle only two sides are equal and the base angles are equal.

Example: Find the perimeter of the triangle whose sides are AB = AC = 3 cm and BC = 4 cm. Sol: Given, sides of the triangle are  AB =AC = 3 cm, BC = 4 cm

Here two sides are equal that means it is an isosceles triangle. we know that Perimeter of triangle = sum of all three sides.

Therefore, the perimeter of the given triangle  = AB + BC + CA = 3 cm + 4 cm + 3 cm  = 10 cm.

Scalene triangle: In the Scalene triangle all three sides are unequal.

Scalene triangle:

Find the perimeter of a triangle whose sides are  AB =2.5 cm,BC = 3 cm and  AC = 4.5 cm. sol: Given, sides of a triangle are AB = 2.5 cm, BC = 3 cm and AC= 4.5 cm.

Example:

Here all sides are different so it is an scalene triangle perimeter = sum of all sides  = AB + BC + AC  = 2.5 cm + 3 cm + 4.5 cm  = 10 cm
