How to Balance Chemical Equation - NaOH+H2SO4 →Na2SO4 +H2O

BY Team Aakash Byju's

The number of atoms in all of the molecules in a balanced chemical equation is equal on both sides of the equation.

The word equation is given by Sodium hydroxide + Sulphuric acid ---------> Sodium sulphate + water

Sodium and Sulphur occur at minimum places , but Sulphur is already balanced. It is easy to balance Na multiply NaoH by 2.

Now sodium is balanced, but we have 4 atoms of hydrogen on reactant side and 2 atoms of hydrogen on product side.

To balance hydrogen atoms , multiply H2o on the product side by 2.

Now the equation is balanced in 'O' and 'S' atoms. Thus the balanced equation.
