How Powerful Is the Acid in Our Stomach?

Have you ever experienced cavity in teeth? Why some people have sensible and yellowish teeth? Its the stomach acid with high pH value that causes tooth cavity.

This gives an idea that how powerful the acid can be in our stomach.

Potassium chloride, sodium chloride and hydrochloric acid are combined to together make gastric acid.

The pH of gastric acid in the stomach ranges from 1 to 3.

When we eat food, gastric acids release gastric juices with which the food gets mixed and starts the process of digestion.

In the next step, it kills all harmful bacteria that we could have consumed while consuming the food & prevents our bodies &organs from getting infected.

If we eat a lot of sugar, it becomes easy for acid to digest the food and we may feel hungry sooner.

If we eat protein-rich food, it takes a longer time to break down the molecules and digest the food. This is why we feel full for a longer duration.

Stomach acid with a pH level of 1 or 2 can break down the strongest food like meat and food that are rich in protein.

Maintain this by eating small meals every 2 to 3 hours during the day. High fiber food to be involved in the diet.

Avoid smoking. Keep yourself hydrated and get sufficient sleep.
