Across the globe, Father’s Day is observed every third Sunday in June. In 2024, this day is on the 16th of June.
It is celebrated to honour the paternal bond and fatherhood. Additionally, it will showcase the role played by a father in his family and society.
Her widowed father took care of his six children very well. So, to honour him, Ms. Sonora founded Father’s Day.
Later, she even promoted this day to the government and the state celebrated the first Father’s Day on June 19, 1910.
Initially, Father’s Day took time to become popular since many men believed accepting gifts and flowers harmed their masculinity.
Some also thought that the stores are observing Father’s Day to improve their business.
Over the years, people started celebrating this day just like Mother’s Day.
