Differentiation Between Spinning and Weaving Class 8 Biology

Spinning and Weaving are two main phases in the fabric manufacturing process.

Spinning is important for the production of yarns or threads which are later utilized in other operations such as weaving or knitting.

Weaving is the technique of piling yarns or threads crosswise to form continuous lengths of cloth, including patterned weaves and ribbons.

Spinning is the method of producing thread from raw fibers.

Weaving is the method of removing threads and converting them into the fabric.

India is one of the countries that provide world-class spinning production.

Weaving produces  low-quality fabric as it cannot use much of the high-quality thread produced in the country.

Threads can be made using a variety of spinning methods, including ring-spun,  rotor-spun, twistless, etc.

Crepe, taffeta, organdy, and muslin are a few examples of plain weave fabrics.
