Why Is Alloy Considered as a Homogeneous Mixture?

An alloy is considered as a homogenous mixture because its composition remains uniform.

A Homogeneous Mixture is one in which the proportions of its components are consistent across a sample.

Alloy is a metallic substance made up of two or more elements as a compound or as a solution.

For example, Brass is an alloy that is a homogeneous mixture of copper and zinc.

Alloy components are typically metals, with the exception of carbon, which is a nonmetal.

The purpose of alloying is to develop desired properties in a metal that does not naturally possess them.

Even though alloys are a mixture of elements it retains the properties of the constituent elements.
