Which Biomolecule Has Sugars and Starches?

Let us first see the chemical molecules that are present in the living organism.

What are Biomolecules?

There are 2 types of biomolecules. They are:

– Organic biomolecules  – Inorganic biomolecules

Proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates and vitamins are the ones that constitute organic molecules.

Minerals, gases and water are the ones that constitute inorganic molecules.

The biomolecule that has sugar and starches is Carbohydrates.

Carbohydrates are the main source of energy for the body’s cells.

The form of sugars present in carbohydrates includes fructose, glucose and lactose.

Whole-grain bread, brown rice, etc. are some examples of biomolecules that have a sugar content of carbohydrates.

Potatoes, cereal products, rice & grains, etc. are some foods that have starchy carbohydrates.
