Quick Lime

Calcium Oxide is commonly known as quick lime.

How is Quicklime Made: Quick lime is formed by Calcium carbonate (CaCO3). It is a widely used chemical substance.

It is a white caustic alkaline and a crystalline solid at room temperature.

Quicklime Chemical Name:  - Calcium Oxide   Quicklime Chemical Formula: CaO

Uses of quick lime 

Quick lime is the primary raw material in the manufacturing of cement.

- Quick lime is used in the manufacturing of Steel. - It is used to remove impurities.

- Quick lime is used in soil stabilisation for roads. - It is used in the preparation of pesticides and paper.

Quick lime is used as a laboratory reagent for dehydration and precipitation reactions.

Quick lime is used in constructing earthen dams, building foundations, etc.
