The living creatures of a community constantly interact with each other.

These interactions include interspecies interactions and intraspecies interactions.

Intraspecies Interactions

Interspecies interactions are of various kinds. These include: Mutualism, Commensalism, Competition, Parasitism and Predation.

Mutualism is a kind of interaction where two species are beneficial to each other.

The relationship between the roots of legume plants and rhizobium bacteria.

Commensalism is a kind of interaction where one species benefits and another species does not.

The relationship between sea anemone and clownfish.

Parasitism is a kind of interaction where one species get benefit and causes harm to other species. Example: Lice, leech, tapeworm.
