What Are the Creepers and Climbers?

A plant contains different parts, including roots, stems, branches, leaves, buds, flowers and fruits.

Stem

The part of a plant that bears leaves, branches, buds, and flowers is called the stem.

Some plant stems have strong stems that help them grow straight, but some plants have weak ones.

The plants that have weak stems need support. These plants are of two types. These include creepers and climbers.

Creepers

A creeper is a plant with a weak stem that cannot stand upright but spreads on the ground.

Mint plant, watermelon, pumpkin, mint, muskmelon.

Examples

Creepers have a tender stem. They cannot grow straight. So, they grow along the ground.

Climbers

Climbers are weak stem plants that take support of another plant.

Generally, climbers grow upwards by attaching themselves to other plants or things.

Beans, cucumber, Jasmine, money plant, grapevine.
