What Are Eurythermic Organisms?

Eurythermic Organisms:

Eurythermic organisms are organisms that can stand a wide range of ambient temperatures.

This is considered in both adult and larva stages. These include different kinds:

Cold eurythermic organisms can survive in extremely cold conditions. Example: Tardigrades

Cold-eurythermic Organisms:

Stenothermic organisms are organisms that can survive in narrow ranges of temperature. Examples: Reptiles, insects, salmon.

Stenothermic Organisms:

Eurythermic organisms are endothermic, which means warm-blooded animals. These organisms have constant body temperature.

Eurythermic species can generate heat in their bodies.

Eurythermic organisms can live in extreme cold and hot conditions.

Eurythermic organisms can synthesise a special protein that involves regulating the body temperature.

Eurythermic behaviour is an evolutionary advantage.
