Ovulation phase
On the 14th day of the menstrual cycle, the ovary releases the ovum and the ovum is sent into the fallopian tube.
Luteal phase
This phase is between 15-28 days. The ovum in the fallopian tube stays there for 24 hours and if a sperm does not fuse, the ovum disintegrates.
