Cryptogamae:   These are non-flowering plants that can not produce seeds.

Types of Cryptogamae: Cryptogamae is divided into three groups.  Thallophyta Bryophyta Pteridophyta

Thallophyta:  These are simple plants with undifferentiated bodies known as thallus. Generally, these plants are known as algae.

Bryophyta:  Non-vascular plants grow in damp places, but they are land plants. But they depend on water for reproduction. Examples: Marchantia and Funaria.

Gymnosperms:  Plants in which seeds are not enclosed in fruits, Ovules are not enclosed in the ovary and remain exposed after fertilisation. Examples: Pines, Cycus, etc.

Monocots Monocots have a fibrous root system, parallel venation and one cotyledon in the seed. Example: Rice, Wheat, Maize.

Dicots:  Dicots have a taproot system, reticulate venation and two cotyledons in the seed. Example: Mango, Bean, Hibiscus.
