Causative Agents Of Infectious Diseases And Their Mode Of Transmission

There are different types of viruses in the world. They are the main factors for viral diseases including the common cold, influenza, etc.

Viral Infections

Bacterial infections can cause infectious diseases such as cholera, TB, diphtheria and typhoid.

Bacterial Infections

Inhaling fungus particles can cause a fungal illness that affects the entire body. Ringworm is an example of a fungal infection.

Fungal Infections

If the prion is folded incorrectly, it disrupts the structure of normal proteins, resulting in devastating disorders such as Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease.

Prion Diseases

Infectious diseases are also caused by Protozoa, Helminths and Ectoparasites.

Other Infections

When an infected individual sneeze or coughs, the pathogens of diseases such as influenza may move into the air and infect people.

Transmission of Infectious diseases

Touching an infected individual or their bodily fluids such as saliva, blood, sweat and urine can spread illnesses such as chickenpox and measles.

Touching objects or regions touched by an infected individual can spread the illness and cause disease to a non-infected person.
