All You Need to Know About World Tourism Day 2022

Since 1980, the 27th of September has been observed as World Tourism Day.

The World Tourism Organization designates this day to coincide with an important milestone in world tourism: the anniversary of the adoption of the UNWTO Statutes on 27 September 1970.

On this day, the WTO ensures that travel is accessible for everyone, including people with disabilities/low-income.

The 42nd World Tourism Day would be held in Bali, Indonesia, as Indonesia is the host country.

The theme for this year is #RethinkingTourism, suitable for a post-pandemic condition.

This year's festivities would be filled with several programs in different forms, which include seminars, competitions, social services, clean rivers, and reforestation.

By participating in such programs we can change the lives of people and influence them too.

Go, get your cameras ready, unfold your maps and don’t forget to backpack before you step out.
