  • Overview
    Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is established by the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi under the University Act 1998. GGSIPU imparts education in wide array of disciplines. The IP University is accredited by NAAC and given ‘A’ grade. Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC) in association with Safdarjung Hospital was established at Safdarjung Hospital by the Government of India in November, 2001 and the college is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.

    The course of studies leading to the award of degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) shall be minimum of 4½ years followed by one year compulsory rotational Internship in GGSIPU. The entrance test for this course is conducted in 2-stages, i.e. Stage-I & Stage-II.

  • Eligibility Criteria
1. Candidate should be an Indian citizen. Non-Resident Indians and Foreign Nationals are not eligible.
2. Candidate should not be less than 17 (Seventeen) years as on the 31st December, 2016.
3. Candidate must have passed in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English (Core or Elective or Functional) individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Biotechnology and English (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC candidate, subject to availability of seat for these categories in the respective institutions).
4. There shall be a 2-stage CET for MBBS, the qualified students of stage – 1 shall be required to appear in the second stage. The merit of the second stage only shall be used for the purpose of counselling/admissions.
5. To claim seat under MBBS programme at NDMC for the academic session 2016-17, the candidate must have studied 11th and 12th classes regularly from a recognized school within the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
7. There will be no rounding-off of the percentage of marks of qualifying examination while deciding the basic eligibility of any candidate for admission.
