JEE (Main) 2018 Result has been declared on 30th April

The JEE (Main) Offline version was conducted on 8th April, 2018. The online rendition of the JEE (Main) was held on 15th and 16th of April, 2018 which marked the end of the first level of this coveted examination. JEE (Main) 2018 paper was moderate difficult. In Physics paper, overall questions were slightly on the difficult side compared to last year. Questions asked in Mathematics were conceptual and close to the JEE (Advanced) paper in terms of tricks & approach. Chemistry paper was mixture of conceptual & numerical questions with average difficulty level. Altogether, Physics paper was average, Mathematics was time consuming and questions from Chemistry were tough & least asked.

After the JEE (Main) examination ended, students were patiently waiting for the Result and predicting what the highest score in JEE (Main) will be. The result of JEE (Main) 2018, Paper-I has been declared on 30th April, 2018.

Students should note that, as per the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India - There shall be no weightage for the class XII marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE (Main) exam. Earlier, the marks that students obtained in the class XII board exam were determined for calculating the All India Ranking; however, from 2017 that trend has been discontinued. Class XII marks will only be considered to check the eligibility of the student seeking admission in IIT. Secondly, the candidates to qualify for the admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and CFTIs should have secured at least 75% marks in the class XII board exam or be in the 20 percentile in the XII board exam conducted by the respective Boards and for SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the XII exam.
