The Offline version of JEE Main 2017 was conducted on 2nd April. On the 8th and 9th of April, the online rendition of the examination was held which marked the end of the first level of this coveted examination. Students had mixed repose towards JEE Main paper this year. While some found the math section easy but lengthy, others felt that the Physics & Chemistry section of JEE Main was very much on the predicted lines.
Now that the examination has ended, students are patiently waiting for the JEE Main Result and predicting what the highest score in JEE Main 2017 will be. The IIT Main result for Paper I will be declared on April 27th, 2017. Those who appeared for Paper II will have to wait a little longer as a result of the same is scheduled to be declared on May 27th, 2017.
The result will be available on the jeemain.ac.in; however, the declaration of the result will be announced on the CBSE website – cbseresults.nic.in
One thing that students should note is that the format for calculating the ranking of students has changed this year. Until last year, the marks that students obtained in the class XIIth board exam were determined for calculating the AIR (All India Ranking), however, from this year that trend has been discontinued. Class XIIth marks will only be considered to check the eligibility of the student seeking admission to IIT.
When checking JEE Main Result online make sure you insert the following information correctly –
