CBSE will conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Phase 2 on 24th July, 2016 for all medical aspirants as ruled by the Supreme Court of India. Students who could not register or appear for AIPMT/NEET Phase 1 which was held on 1st of May, 2016 can apply for NEET 2016 Phase 2. Even the students who appeared for AIPMT/NEET Phase 1 can apply for NEET Phase 2 but their AIPMT/NEET Phase 1 score will then be dismissed.
Here are some things you must know about NEET 2016 Phase 2:
- The result for both NEET (Phase 1 & Phase 2) will be declared on August, 17th 2016 for giving admission to approximately 30,000 MBBS and BDS seats under 15% All India Quota, Private/ Management/ NRI Quota Seats in all Private Medical / Dental Colleges or any Private/ Deemed University.
- Students must fulfil the below mentioned eligibility criteria for NEET Phase 2 – Nationality: Indian Nationals and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI)
Age limit: Applicants must be at least 17 years old as on 31st December 2016. The age limit for general category is 25 years and for SC/ST and OBC category is 30 years. - Exam mode: Pen & paper
- Language: English or Hindi
- Number of questions: 180
- Distribution of questions
Physics: 45
Chemistry: 45
Zoology: 45
Botany: 45
For correct answer – 4 marks are given
1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer
