Aakash strives to develop a system which shall continuously assess the needs and enhance the quality and standards of coaching process in Engineering and Medical education as well as for National level competitive entrance exams. Our objective is to attract and nurture talent, provide them with best opportunities for career advancement and inculcate the spirit of excellence in engineering and medical aspirants.
We at Aakash, offer admissions in various Medical, Engineering, Foundations and NRI courses in different programs like Regular Classroom Program (RCP), Distance Learning Program (DLP) and e-Learning Program. Admission processes may vary from one course to another course. However, we provide admissions through our selection process of DA (Direct Admission) and ACST (Admission-cum-Scholarship-Test).
|1.||Aakash offers direct admission option in all of its courses on the basis of percentage of marks secured by the student in his/her School/Board Examination.|
|2.||Each course has a predefined specific percentage admission criterion. Broadly, for any course a student should fulfill the given percentage or grades requirement in either Science and Mathematics (aggregate) in Class VII/VIII/IX/Class X Board / All India Secondary School Examination (AISSE) or Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB)/Physic, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) (aggregate) in Class XII Board/Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination.|
|3.||For example, those students who have secured minimum 65% aggregate marks in PCB / PCM in Class XII or 70% aggregate marks in Science & Mathematics in Class X Board Exam can take direct admission (DA) in short term courses i.e. Crash Courses/Test Series Courses.|
|4.||Those students who have secured minimum 70% aggregate marks or B1+B1 grades in Science & Mathematics in Class IX/ X Board Exam of Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi/Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (CBSE/ICSE) or any other recognized Board can take direct admission in Class XI (in Two Year Integrated Course for Medical (NEET) & Engineering (JEE-Main/Advanced) and 70% aggregate marks in Science & Mathematics in Class X/70% aggregate marks in PCB/PCM in Class XII Board exam can take direct admission in One Year Medical/Engineering Courses.|
|5.||If a student has not scored a minimum of 70% marks or B1+B1 grades in Class IX/ Class X Board/ AISSE in Science & Mathematics (aggregate), then he/she will have to appear for our 'Admission cum Scholarship Test'. Those students who qualify this test are then given admission in the applied courses.|
|1.||Aakash also offers admission to those students who could not perform well in their board exams and thus want another chance to showcase their potential for medicine or engineering as career. For such students, we have a provision of an admission test, where we test the basic knowledge of the student.|
|2.||The syllabus of the admission test is different for different courses and can be obtained from the information desk at the applying centre.|
|3.||The admission test also gives an opportunity to a student to outperform and get scholarship in turn. A student, who has qualified our direct admission criteria, can also appear for ACST in order to avail scholarship.|
|4.||If a student has taken direct admission and paid registration fee, admission fee & 1st installment of the tuition fee, then he/she cannot appear in ACST to avail any scholarship benefit.|
|5.||A student can appear in the ACST for a maximum of two chances for seeking admission in a particular course.|
|6.||For further details, please discuss with our Centre Counsellors.|
